What is your role and what gives you energy in your work?

I am a podiatrist and regional coordinator for the East Netherlands. In my work, I draw energy from collaborating with people, tackling challenges and seeing tangible results. I find my work particularly rewarding when I can help others or improve processes.

What is your favourite quote, motto or tip to help people get through life more easily?

"You don’t have to get everything right first time; progress is more important, but always strive for perfection."

How can you tell from your work that it really suits you?

I find that my job suits me because it allows me to contribute to the well-being of others. I also enjoy taking on challenges. The more complex the situation, the more I enjoy it.

What do you do outside of work that people might not expect of you?

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time doing sports, such as BodyPump, strength training and running. In the past, I played volleyball at a high level. This sport has always played an important role in my life and still holds my interest. In my professional practice, too, I am interested in sport and the associated sports injuries.

Is there anything else you’d like to share?

I believe it is important to keep learning and to remain open to other perspectives. This helps me to continue developing myself, both personally and professionally. Every day, I work with different kinds of people, stories and concerns. Everyone is unique and has their own story. It is precisely this diversity that makes my work interesting and challenging.
