We can look back on a successful webinar on medical foot care!

Last week, our colleagues Monique Gouw en Laura Zantboer-Eijsackers the second edition of our fascinating webinar on recognising high-risk feet in people with an increased risk of foot complications. This is an important and popular topic, as more than 600 healthcare professionals had registered for our webinars in total!

Many healthcare professionals recognise the high-risk foot in diabetic patients, but do you also recognise it in patients with rheumatism, peripheral arterial disease and other conditions that carry an increased risk of foot complications?

During this webinar, we will refresh participants’ knowledge of how to carry out a foot screening: how to recognise a high-risk foot at an early stage, what to look out for, and how to determine whether a patient is eligible for care covered by basic health insurance. We looked at the specific risk factors that vary by patient group, such as in cases of neuropathy, kidney disease and rheumatism. The webinar is suitable for staff working in rheumatology, neurology, vascular surgery, nephrology, internal medicine and oncology departments, but is certainly also suitable for GPs and practice nurses.
